Updates to Gmail 2-way sync

July 18, 20232 min read

“Some things start off great and grow cold. COFFEE CRM started of great and just gets hotter and hotter!”

We are thrilled to announce the release of our new Two-Way Sync (V2) for Gmail. 🎉

🌟 What’s New :

  • Users can now sync their inbound emails from any existing contact directly to COFFEE when their 2-way sync is connected.

  • Users can also create a contact and add the conversation seamlessly into COFFEE CRM while they are sending an email from Gmail

  • Outgoing emails sent from COFFEE CRM will be reflected in users’ Gmail Sent folder, and vice versa maintaining a complete record of the correspondence.

🙋🏻‍♂️ Existing contacts:

  • Incoming emails to users’ Gmail account from any existing contact (who is assigned to the user) will be automatically imported into COFFEE.

🥷 New Contacts:

  • Users can now import new contacts into COFFEE while sending a mail from Gmail using ‘Auto BCC Sync’ option

  • ‘Auto BCC Sync’ is available for users under their sub-account / settings / my profile section. It is unique to each user email and location.

  • Users can add this ‘Auto BCC Sync’ option to the cc or bcc field while sending an email from Gmail to create a new contact and add the conversation in COFFEE

⚙️ Easy Setup and Configuration:

  • Users can set up the Two-Way Sync with Gmail in a very simple process through settings / MyProfile

🚦Limitations

  • Currently only the primary email of a contact is used to sync emails between Gmail and COFFEE. Inbound Emails sent from Contact's additional/secondary email to users will reflect in COFFEE. But Outbound emails sent from User to contact's additional/secondary email won't be synced in COFFEE.

  • In case there are multiple contacts in to recipients while sending an email from user’s Gmail, the conversation will be populated only for the first contact.

  • In case a location allows duplicate contacts, the conversation will be populated on the first created contact.

With this update, users can now enjoy a more integrated and efficient communication by synchronizing their emails and contacts bidirectionally.
